About YAIMA
A Cascadian Folktronic Duo Bridging Nature & Humankind
Yaima is often described as timeless and unmistakable, offering a balanced synergy of masculine and feminine expression. Their melodious soundscapes, featuring Multi-Instrumentalist & Producer Masaru Higasa and Vocalist Pepper Proud, showcase instruments from all over the world.
Inspired by the Majesty of Nature, their musical musings encompass the listener with driving and revitalizing organic rhythms, transcendent electronic production, soothing female vocals, and heartened lyricism.
Yaima creates a bridge between Nature and Humankind as an expansive experience, encouraging growth and graceful passage for the hearts and minds of their listeners.
The name YAIMA comes from the Mapudungun language, which means “that which water runs through,” and the culturally preserved Yaeyama District of Okinawa, Japan.

Dutch songwriter Lotte Walda writes songs to spread positive energy and help create a kinder, more connected world. Deeply inspired by nature and by the music of the sixties and seventies, Lotte feels most at home in the sounds of that era — songs full of warmth, connection and timeless storytelling. Through her music, she hopes to remind people of the light and love that still live in the world. She loves creating catchy melodies that stick with listeners. Blending folk, pop and country, her songs tell heartfelt stories about life, love and staying true to yourself. With her warm voice and honest lyrics, she aims to touch, comfort and uplift everyone who listens.
Lotte is working on her third studio album. This new record draws inspiration from personal stories about coming home and love, creating a warm, intimate and acoustic sound.

Please note this is a standing concert, there are no chairs for seating. We advice you to be there in time if you want to choose your spot.
How To Get There with public transport
Take the ferry from Amsterdam Central Station to NDSM Wharf. This ferry takes around 15 minutes. The ferry leaves every half hour. When you arrive at NDSM Wharf, it’s about a 5-minute walk to Pllek. Check public transport for your timetable.
Parking
There are plenty of parking spaces available around Pllek, on the NDSM site. The rate is €1.40 per hour between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Sunday. But if an event is taking place on the NDSM site, parking can be difficult. Check the NDSM calendar for the latest information.
