David Howley For Venus Release Tour :: 24 June 2023 @Vondelkerk Amsterdam
We are happy to welcome the multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and recording artist David Howley to Amsterdam for his first-ever concert in Amsterdam!
Last year he opened the intimate concert for Woven Kin in de Van Houtenkerk and for Ajeet and band in Theater Amsterdam where people could experience his beautiful poetic songs.
We immediately knew that we wanted to invite him for a concert in Amsterdam. Here we will celebrate the birth of his first solo album For Venus which is produced by Ajeet and will be released on April 21st, 2023.
About David Howley
Born in Ireland, David Howley has been at the forefront of Irish guitar, voice, and mandolin for over a decade. An award-winning vocalist, and holder of multiple Billboard #1’s, he has performed with The Chieftains, Eileen Ivers, Carlos Nunez, Billy Strings, Bela Fleck, Altan, Ajeet and
Mumford & Sons, amongst others.
In 2011, David founded We Banjo 3 and since has gone on to play Irish folk music all around the world.
David is currently releasing his first solo record for Venus. This music navigates the shadow with openness and vulnerability, all while drawing
the listener to move.

How To Get There
The Vondelkerk is located just outside of the Vondelpark in Amsterdam, so nearby parking is not easy and not advised. We advise you to come by public transport or use your bicycle. Parking Garage
There are several parking garages available:
- Parking Centrum Oosterdok, just next to Amsterdam Central Station (take public transport from here to the venue). Parking is EUR 5,- (for one whole day) if you book early, online otherwise EUR 25,- (day ticket) if you reserve upfront, with no reservation maximum of EUR 37,50.
