Afternoon workshop Rhyme, Rhythm, Ritual with Murray Kyle on August 21st in Buiksloterkerk
In the afternoon on August 21st Murray Kyle will give a workshop Rhyme, Rhythm, Ritual in Buiksloterkerk. Join Australian Sacred Song Carrier Murray Kyle for this journey of expression using voice, body percussion, sounding and movement. Together we will dive into the playfulness and the prayer of the human voice, as a bridge to all of life. Discovering connectivity through our collective sound and song, using the most ancient instrument that we carry within. We will play with harmonics, full body listening, song writing, vocal interpretation, toning, & collaborating with the great mystery. No musical experience is needed, just a curious heart to play with the energy of the moment & discover how your voice is a powerful friend and ally.

About Murray Kyle
Murray Kyle is a prolific songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer. Murray has released multiple self produced studio albums over the last decade, grounded in unity consciousness, and dedicated to the re-awakening of the beauty way.
His journey in the worldwide heart music network has led to studio and live collaborations with artists such as Rising Appalachia, Nessi Gomes, Tina Malia, Trevor Hall, Elijah Ray, Peia, Shimshai and many more.
About Marya Stark
Marya Stark is a singer-songwriter, storyteller, and multi-instrumentalist whose music weaves together poetry, myth, and the beauty of human experience. Known for her ethereal voice and deeply evocative songwriting, she creates immersive musical worlds where vulnerability, wonder, and archetypal storytelling meet.
Since the release of her debut album The Garden in 2012, Marya has cultivated an international following through a body of work that explores love, nature, personal transformation, and the mysteries of the soul. Alongside her solo career, she is a member of the acclaimed folk collective Starling Arrow and has collaborated with a wide range of artists and producers.
Her latest music reveals a more intimate and tender side of her artistry, inviting listeners into a space of reflection, connection, and heartfelt presence.
High Chai Tea House
High Chai Teahouse is a mobile teahouse that you will encounter at all our HeartFire concerts. Come home from your trip to the concert and get to meet old and new acquaintances in this dreamy Victorian ambiance. At the bar you can order the tastiest quality products from the Chai Angels.
The hand-brewed Chai Tea has grown famous, and you can only get it here. You will also find yogi tea, fresh mint, ginger and lemon tea. Not to mention all the sweet treats…. Both raw vegan and home-baked cakes, brownies and refreshing authentic drinks.
This bohemian atmosphere bar was designed by Ilona Dorgelo. The High Chai once started when Ilona made cake and chai for friends with a heartbreak. With the theater school and three-star restaurant De Librije as a background, this accidentally grew into a serious concept at our HeartFire concerts.

What To Bring
Please bring your own (meditation) cushion to sit on if you want to sit on the floor. There will be also chairs so no worries if you are not able or don’t want to sit on the floor.
How To Get There
The Buiksloterkerk is located 25 minutes by public transport from Amsterdam Central Station. Nearby parking is available on the nearby sportsfield. We advise you to come by public transport or use your bicycle. Check the use of public transport here to plan your journey.
Car Parking
Are you driving by car to Buiksloterkerk? Please don’t park in the residential areas surrounding the church. There’s a parking lot with 100 spaces 90 meters behind the church, near the sports field.
