Join us for a magical day in the HeartSpace with Kevin James & Susana in De Vondelkerk in Amsterdam. A powerful way to reconnect to the heart. We feel blessed! Kevin James Carroll and his beloved Susana Rodríquez return to The Netherlands to give a workshop Healing Tones & a Heartsongs Chanting Circle in the magical Vondelkerk in the Heart of Amsterdam. Let’s share our Heart’s Fire!
In the afternoon Kevin James & Susana will guide a workshop Healing Tones, in the evening there will be a Chanting Circle with Mantras & HeartSongs.
Kevin’s Circles are a co-creative and empowering experience that can have you singing your heart out, dancing in bliss and diving deep into the profound silence that follows. In the HeartSong Chanting Circle we sit around the flower heart mandala. Please bring a cushion if you want to sit there. There will also be chairs available.

About Kevin James & Susana
Kevin James is an experienced chant leader from Australia and travels the world in the spirit of Oneness and freedom.
The Songs and mantras of Kevin James Carroll are an invitation to co-create a deep connection to the heart and a positive healing vibration for one’s self and the world. Weaving ancient Mantra’s with his own Heart Songs. They are a gift to the many hearts remembering the ONE. An expression of the movement of realization that is spreading across the planet right now.
Kevin’s music is a world fusion of devotional chanting, drawing upon influences from traditional Indian Kirtan, Rainbow Bhajans, Celtic and Sufi chants mixed with western folk sounds and world instruments
This is a movement that honors the ancient cultures and religions of the world, embracing their commonality… their Oneness.
Each Heartsong is a modern devotional Hymn, a song of clear intent and purpose: to expand awareness beyond the thinking mind, to enter the bliss of the heart.

The intention of his circles is to empower individuals through reconnecting to their hearts and to bring awareness of our oneness. His songs have a fathomless depth with universal truths and heartfelt devotion. The intention and philosophy expressed in his songs reflect what he calls, The evolution of an emerging culture of awareness of oneness. “There is a renaissance of people who are more interested in celebrating what we all have in common rather than focus on our differences.”
Workshop Healing Tones (afternoon)
In the afternoon of October 12th Kevin James & Susana will guide a workshop Healing Tones. A self harmonisation vocal workshop for inner alignment and wellness.
- Improve and open your voice;
- reconnect to your true self;
- clear emotional blockages;
- and give your energy centers a cleanse and tune up with the power of sacred sounds and mantras.
This introductory workshop involves a deep dive into the healing tones within. Kevin will share two beautiful practices that you can take home and use to enrich your life: “The active Aum meditation” harnesses the transformative power of the the sacred mantra AUM as a cleansing meditation, and what Kevin calls the “Chakra Voice Exploration”, which involves toning sacred sounds as a way to tune ourselves with our intrinsic nature to find emotional harmony and stability.
You will be supported to open up to an effortless way of singing and connect to your natural voice with emotion and feeling (the essence of Bhakti). You will learn how this has a direct connection to your true authentic self and how you relate to life.
For the last part of the workshop we will put this angelic voice into practice singing mantras & heartsongs.You will come away from this with a daily practice that you can do by yourself at home.
This is an interactive workshop for all levels, perfect for anyone interested in healing through sound.
Music
High Chai Tea House
High Chai Teahouse is a mobile teahouse that you will encounter at all our HeartFire concerts. Come home from your trip to the concert and get to meet old and new acquaintances in this dreamy Victorian ambiance. At the bar you can order the tastiest quality products from the Chai Angels.
The hand-brewed Chai Tea has grown famous, and you can only get it here. You will also find yogi tea, fresh mint, ginger and lemon tea. Not to mention all the sweet treats…. Both raw vegan and home-baked cakes, brownies and refreshing authentic drinks.
This bohemian atmosphere bar was designed by Ilona Dorgelo. The High Chai once started when Ilona made cake and chai for friends with a heartbreak. With the theater school and three-star restaurant De Librije as a background, this accidentally grew into a serious concept at our HeartFire concerts.

What To Bring
Please bring your own (meditation) cushion to sit on if you want to sit on the ground around the flower mandala. There will be also chairs so no worries if you are not able or don’t want to sit on the floor. When you sit on the floor in the circle we will ask you to take of your shoes and put all bags and other stuff at the side to create an empty temple space.
How To Get There
The Vondelkerk is located just outside of the Vondelpark in Amsterdam, so nearby parking is not easy and not advised. We advise you to come by public transport or use your bicycle. There are parking garages available:
- Parking Centrum Oosterdok, just next to Amsterdam Central Station (take public transport from here to the venue). Parking is EUR 10,- (for one whole day) if you book early, online otherwise EUR 25,- (day ticket) if you reserve upfront, with no reservation maximum of EUR 37,50.
- Or explore other options: Q-Park Byzantium, Q-Park Museumplein or Park Bee Overtoom.
